Culture Days are coming up across the Province of Ontario and Prescott and Russell counties is one of 10 regional hubs – just one of two in Eastern Ontario for this year’s event.

The 2022 Ontario Culture Days is on from September 23 to October 16. The yearly festival celebrates arts, heritage and community spirit. Hundreds of event organizers across the province have signed up and created arts and culture events that will be revealed during the festival. Events range from free family-friendly participatory events to professional performances from all artistic disciplines and celebrating Ontario’s many different communities.

Artists and artisans from Prescott and Russell will be at the Tuque de Broue Brewery in Embrun to demonstrate their creative processes at Lets Get Creative! on September 25. The region’s natural and historical heritage will be celebrated at the Tucker House in Clarence-Rockland, a historic site with a mandate for environmental education on October 16.

Every day during the festival, Ontario residents, and visitors to the province can find something to do in their community for free and for all age groups. The Ontario Culture Days events page contains a complete listing of all events and activities.

This year, Ontario Culture Days has seen an almost 50 per cent increase in participating events. With the increase in programs, Ontario Culture Days developed the 10 new regional hubs located across cities and towns to help visitors explore local events and learn more about the area. Hubs are local partners that will act as community leads for the festival and represent a friendly face.

Along with Prescott and Russell, the regional hubs are Guelph, Halton Hills, Lincoln, Markham and Unionville, Ottawa, Sault Ste- Marie, Scugog, Toronto (Esplanade), and Windsor. Each hub has a dedicated event page allowing visitors to easily select what to do in that area during the festival.
