Sûreté du Québec officers carried out a search and made two drug-related arrests in Lachute on May 3.
Police carried out a search of a dwelling on rue des Bouleaux and a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman from Lachute were arrested at the scene. They were later released but will appear in court at a later date to face possible charges.
During the operation, police officers seized:
- More than 5 kilos of cannabis in a casserole
- More than 180 grams of cannabis resin
- More than 150 grams of cannabis in the form of wax
- More than 1 kilogram of magic mushrooms
- More than 90 electronic cigarettes containing THC
- Equipment intended for drug trafficking
- Over $6,600 in Canadian currency
- A home-made electric conducted energy weapon
- Two prohibited edged weapons
- A 2012 Lexus
The operation resulted from an investigation initiated following information received from the public.
