Police in Lachute arrested two suspects and seized contraband cannabis during a recent intervention.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m. on April 25, police officers from the MRC d’Argenteuil Sûreté du Québec officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on rue Paul-Émile Barbeau, in Lachute.
During the intervention, the police arrested two people and seized:
-More than 1.1 kilograms of cannabis
-More than 110 grams of hashish
-More than 13 grams of cannabis in the form of wax
-29 electronic cigarettes with 90 per cent THC
A 28-year-old man was arrested and is being held for a court appearance. He was facing charges of possession of narcotics, cannabis offenses and breach of prescription.
A 24-year-old woman was also arrested. She was later released on a summons. She will have to return to court at a later date. She could face charges of possession of narcotics, cannabis offenses and breach of prescription.
