Spring is in the air and things are busy at Arbor Gallery, with the presentation of an exhibition, a storytelling evening, a concert and a giant art sale.

Saturday, April 23 – Conversation with Tom Cooper, author

On April 23, Arbor Gallery welcomes author and storyteller Tom Cooper. A Vankleek Hill resident from 1981 to 2004, he worked several years as a commercial pilot and numerous other roles, including voice-over narrator, business program teacher, photography and digital camera technology.

Now retired and having returned to writing, Cooper has published three compilations of short stories – offering his readers glimpses into the comedically frenetic side of everyday senior life from his light-hearted, at times irreverent perspective.

A gifted and witty storyteller, Tom is sure to deliver an entertaining and fun evening for all guests of the Arbor Gallery.

“These books describe funny moments and anecdotes from the point of view of a senior man,” Cooper explains mischievously. “Women laugh, men will laugh more”.

Conversation with Tom Cooper will be held on Saturday April 23 at 7 p.m., in the Main Hall of the gallery. His books will be available on site that evening. They are also available for sale locally at The Review and at Vankleek Cottage.
