Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the region, the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority is suspending visitor access at the Lachute hospital until further notice.
Only one caregiver per day will be authorized to visit a hospitalized person. Hospital staff will assist caregivers with infection prevention and control practices.
This temporary measure is a result of ministerial directives from the Ministry of Health and Social Services aimed at limiting the circulation of the virus in hospitals.
Exceptional measures may apply in certain circumstances, particularly in palliative care. This temporary suspension of visitation rights has also been applied for a few weeks for at hospitals in Saint-Jérôme, Saint-Eustache and Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.
