The Hawkesbury Rotary Club has donated $10,000 to the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation, towards its current campaign ‘There’s No Place Like Home’.
The Rotary Club has been a long-time generous supporter of the HGH Foundation and when members of the club learned of the HGH Foundation’s current campaign to bring additional specialty healthcare services to the hospital, they wanted to help. With the donation, a total contribution of almost $75,000 has been made by the Hawkesbury Rotary Club in support of the HGH over the last 15 years.
“We feel so fortunate to have received this amazing gift from the Hawkesbury Rotary Club,” said Erin Tabakman, Executive Director of the HGH Foundation. “I have seen firsthand the amount of time and effort this wonderful group puts into improving the lives of those in our community and I am not only grateful to each of them, but inspired by their generosity and kindness.”
The HGH Foundation’s mission is to raise funds in order to improve the care and services offered to the community by the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital. ‘There’s No Place Like Home’ is an initiative to help provide the highest priority medical equipment so that HGH can add and expand programs and services in key areas such as Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Advanced Mammography, Urology and Endoscopy.
