The CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority is asking people with non-urgent health problems to avoid emergency departments at hospitals in Lachute, Saint-Eustache, Saint-Jérôme, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Rivière-Rouge and Mont-Laurier due to high patient volumes.
Individual with non-urgent health problems are requested to consider alternatives to going to an emergency department, including:
- contact Info-Santé811 by telephone to speak to a nurse
- consult your family doctor;
- see a doctor in a walk-in clinic
- consult your pharmacist
- go to the emergency room, as a last resort.

A person whose situation requires urgent care should not hesitate to go to the emergency room in order to to receive the essential care they require.
