At around 10:45 p.m. on August 28, MRC d’Argenteuil Sûreté du Québec officers stopped a vehicle for excessive speeding on Autoroute 50 East, at km 258 in Lachute.
The vehicle was traveling at 164 kilometres per hour in a 100 kilometres per hour zone and the driver’s licence was already under suspension.
The 30-year-old man from Mirabel received a fine totaling $ 1,728 and 14 demerit points for speeding and driving a vehicle while under suspension. The vehicle was also seized for a period of 30 days.
