Wondering what to do with your empties this month? Look no further.
The Friends of the Champlain Library is holding a bottle drive to raise funds for the library. Donations of empty beer, wine and spirit bottles, and cans can be dropped off at Dépanneur Lalande at 143 Main Street in Vankleek Hill.
Bottles for the library will be accepted until after the Labour Day weekend. Don’t forget to mention that it is a donation to the library and please don’t leave empties outside of the library.
The fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Library have been curtailed this past year due to restrictions, so please consider donating your empties on the group’s behalf.
The Friends of the Library are also involved in a book sale at the Vankleek Hill Farmers’ Market every Saturday from 9:30 to 12:30.
For more information on the bottle drive or how to become a member of the Friends of the Library visit bc-cl.ca or call the library at 613-678-2216.
