On Saturday, May 22, 2021, shortly after 1:45 a.m., Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report that a recreational facility was on fire on Blais Street in Embrun.
Firefighters from the Embrun Fire Department attended the scene to extinguish the fire. Further investigation revealed that the fire had been set intentionally. There were no injuries.
