The Laurentides region, including the MRC d’Argenteuil remains part of a red zone on Québec’s COVID-19 system of public health measures.  The CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority is remind residents of the importance of respecting the health measures and instructions in place.

The epidemiological situation in the region has remained stable for the past few weeks, while the number of cases, hospitalizations and deaths has decreased. However, with the emergence of new variants, the situation continues to be monitored very closely by public health teams.

However, adjustments to some rules are being made:

  • As of March 17 (tonight) the curfew will be in effect from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Effective March 26:

  • places of worship can accommodate a maximum of 25 people

The reopening of the spas and indoor swimming pools in hotels will be allowed as of March 26, as well as the gradual resumption of leisure and sports activities.

“Everyone’s efforts in this fight against COVID-19 must continue. We have now mass vaccination which is in operation at our eight vaccination sites and which will help us protect individually and thus stabilize the epidemiological situation, ” said CISSS des Laurentides Director-General Rosemonde Landry.
