There were 15 active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil as of Friday, March 5, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.
The number of deaths due to COVID-19 across Argenteuil remained at 21 as of Friday.
There was a total of 424 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region of Québec as of March 5.
The CISSS des Laurentides reported that 24,375 residents of the region had been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Friday.
Cases in schools and long-term care facilities
According to the Québec government, the only active cases of COVID-19 at a school in the MRC d’Argenteuil as of March 5 was at Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute.
As of Friday, no active cases of COVID-19 were present at long-term care facilities in the MRC d’Argenteuil.

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 7,290 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as Friday, March 5, which was an increase of 798 cases from March 4.
There were 617 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of Friday, and 111 of those patients were in intensive care.
There had been 10,455 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of March 5, which was an increase of 10 deaths from March 4.
Across Québec, 510,479 people had been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Friday.
Restrictions
Under Québec’s regional system of COVID-19 emergency measures, the MRC d’Argenteuil, and the entire Laurentides region, is a red zone.
The curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ban on gatherings in private homes and on private land, and compulsory working from home remain in effect.
