As part of Library Lovers Month, the Champlain Library was asking patrons to share what they love about the Champlain Library. Here are some of the responses.
“The library has been such a huge part of my life! I grew up doing crafts at the library, participating in book clubs and just hanging out with friends at the library! The library is such a huge part of what builds our community. It engages our community and plays a major role in making information, knowledge and technology available to our community! I cannot imagine our community without the library!”
“I love the clubs that are available to us through the library Adult craft club, all the book clubs and the knitting club!”
“I love the librarians, the conversations, the laughs and the always helpful suggestions!”
“I love the selection of books, movies and music I miss being able to browse the stacks in search of a new, great read.”
“I love the Champlain Library and all the positives it brings to our community I can’t wait until you can open your doors once again!”
“These words come from the very depths of my soul…the months, days and hours we have spent apart just make me long for you more.
What you offer is beyond compare. You are selfless, so giving, always trying to meet the needs of all.
You are diverse with all that you deliver to those within your reach.
Always a smile, kind word, offer of new and exciting adventures to be enjoyed both in the literary world and those items developed by amazing staff within your solid and comforting brick structure.
Till we meet again in person….I hold you all in my thoughts and between the pages of the literature I have gratefully consumed from within your walls.”
“The library has always been a magical place! Especially now that we are all stuck at home with travel restrictions, the library remains one of the only places that allows us access to every corner of the world (and beyond!!) simply by flipping through a few pages. Keep up the great work! It is helping many of us get through this difficult time.”
