There were 22 active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil as of Friday, February 19, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.  Friday’s total was one active case less than on Thursday

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 across Argenteuil remained at 21 as of Friday.

On Friday, there were a total of 386 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region of Québec.

Cases in schools and long-term care facilities

The Québec government reported active cases of COVID-19 at the following schools across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of February 18:

Laurentian Regional High School in Lachute

Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute

As of February 18, no active cases of COVID-19 were present at long-term care facilities in the MRC d’Argenteuil.

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 8,980 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as Friday, February 19.  The number of active cases had increased by 800 from February 18 to February 19.

There were 723 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of February 19, and 127 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 10,278 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of February 19, which was an increase of 14 deaths from February 18.

Restrictions

 

Under Québec’s regional system of COVID-19 emergency measures, the MRC d’Argenteuil, and the entire Laurentides region, is a red zone.

The curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ban on gatherings in private homes and on private land, and compulsory working from home remain in effect.
