The Champlain Library is celebrating I Read Canadian Day on Wednesday, February 17th to help raise awareness of Canadian books and celebrate the richness, diversity and breadth of Canadian literature. This is a day dedicated to “reading Canadian” and will empower families, schools, libraries, bookstores and organizations to promote reading of Canadian books for at least fifteen minutes.
Library staff are encouraging patrons to borrow books by Canadian authors and share their thoughts about the books with their friends and family or on social media. Staff picks of English and French Canadian books can be found on the library’s website. Join in the celebration and read Canadian! For more information about the programs and services that the library offers visit bc-cl.ca or call 613-678-2216.
