According to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority, as of Thursday, February 11, there were 24 active cases of COVID-19 across the MRC d’Argenteuil, which was a decrease from 28 active cases on February 10.
The number of deaths due to COVID-19 across Argenteuil had increased to 19 on February 11 from 18 on February 10.
On Thursday, there were a total of 457 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region of Québec.
Cases in schools and long-term care facilities
The Québec government reported active cases of COVID-19 at the following schools across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of February 11:
École Dansereau-St-Martin in Grenville
Séminaire du Sacré-Coeur in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge
École St-Philippe in Brownsburg-Chatham
Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute
As of February 10, four cases of COVID-19 were active at the Résidence de Lachute, and three cases of COVID-19 were active at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute.
According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 11,047 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Thursday, February 11. The number of active cases had increased by 1,121 from February 10 to February 11.
There were 874 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of February 11, and 143 of those patients were in intensive care.
There had been 10,149 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of February 11, which was an increase of 37 deaths from February 10.
Changes to restrictions
Under Québec’s regional system of COVID-19 emergency measures, the MRC d’Argenteuil, and all of the Laurentides region, is a red zone.
The curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ban on gatherings in private homes and on private land, and compulsory working from home remain in effect.
