The number of active COVID-19 cases across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of Thursday, January 14, had decreased to 34 cases from 37 cases on Wednesday, January 13, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.  There had been 392 cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Argenteuil as of Thursday.  Across the entire Laurentides region of Québec, there were 949 active cases of COVID-19 as of January 14.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Argenteuil remained at 12 as of Thursday.

Public schools across Québec resumed classes on January 11.  As of January 13, Laurentian Regional High School, and Laurentian Elementary School in Lachute each had cases of COVID-19 among students or staff.

As of January 13, COVID-19 cases were present at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute.

Across the Laurentides region of Québec, 6,394 people had been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of January 13.

Québec began a four-week curfew intended to reduce the spread of COVID-19 on the night of Saturday, January 9.  The curfew is in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly until February 8.  All citizens are to remain at home during that time, unless for specific medical, employment, or emergency reasons.

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 23,187 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Wednesday, January 13.  The number of active cases had increased by 2,132 from January 12 to January 13.  There were 236,827 cumulative cases and 204,741 resolved cases across Québec as of January 12.

There were 1,523 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of January 13, and 230 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 8,878 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of January 13.
