Argenteuil has lowest number of active COVID-19 cases in Laurentides region

The number of active cases of COVID-19 across the MRC d’Argenteuil continued to decrease as of November 17.  There were seven active cases across the MRC on Tuesday and there had been eight on Friday, November 13.  According to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority, the cumulative case count for Argenteuil was 255 as of Tuesday.

Argenteuil had the lowest number of active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region as of November 17.  There were 565 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides on Tuesday and 244 of them were in the MRC de Thérèse-De-Blainville and MRC de la Rivière-du-Nord.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Argenteuil as of November 17 remained at 11.

Schools and long-term care

The Centre d’éducation aux adultes CDC Lachute, was the only school in the MRC d’Argenteuil with a listed case of COVID-19 as of November 17.

No outbreaks of COVID-19 were in effect at long-term care facilities, other group living institutions, or hospitals across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of November 17.

The MRC d’Argenteuil remained as an orange zone under Québec`s regional system of COVID-19 measures, as of November 17.

Québec statistics

Across Québec as of November 16, there were 12,053 active cases of COVID-19, according to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).  There were 126,054 cumulative cases and 107,326 resolved cases as of Monday.

There were 638 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of November 16, and 100 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 6,675 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of November 16.
