As part of the transition to red and orange COVID-19 alert levels in the Laurentides region, and in order to protect vulnerable people and staff, the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority has temporarily limited visits to its various facilities. Those hospitalized or housed in a CISSS facility may only receive visits from their caregivers.

All caregivers who do not have symptoms of COVID-19 and are not confirmed as having COVID-19 are authorized to access the hospitals, long-term care facilities, private residences, and any other facilities where their relatives are living.

Exceptions apply to people in palliative care, at the end of life or for children requiring the presence of their parents, as well as in sectors for which an accompanying person is required.

Detailed instructions governing the arrival of caregivers are available on the site https://www.quebec.ca/sante/problemes-de-sante/a-z/coronavirus-2019/personnes-hospitalisees-ou-residant-en-chsld-ri-rtf-ou-rpa-covid-19/ .
