As of Friday, August 21, there had been a cumulative 113 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the MRC d’Argenteuil, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority, which serves seven MRC’s and the municipality of Mirabel. Out of the 113 cumulative cases, only four were active.
There were no COVID-19 outbreaks at long-term care or other group living facilities in the MRC d’Argenteuil as of August 21.
There had been nine deaths due to COVID-19 across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of August 21. That total had not increased since August 18.
Québec COVID-19 statistics
There had been 61,495 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Québec as of August 21. According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), 54,472 cases of COVID-19 across Québec were resolved as of August 20, which means that 88.6 per cent of the 61,495 cases were resolved and that there were 7,022 active cases across Québec.
Across Québec as of August 21, 136 COVID-19 patients were in hospital and 23 of those patients were in intensive care.
There had been 5,733 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 in Québec as of August 21.
