COVID-19 statistics for the MRC d’Argenteuil were not available from the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority as of Tuesday, August 4.

However, the CISSS des Laurentides did report on August 4 that there had been 3,961 COVID-19 cases throughout its territory since the pandemic began.  The authority serves seven MRC’s and the municipality of Mirabel.  Out of those 3,961 cumulative cases, 3,372 were listed as resolved.

No new statistics on COVID-19 deaths in the MRC d’Argenteuil were available on August 4.  However, there had been 233 deaths due to COVID-19 under CISSS des Laurentides jurisdiction since the pandemic began.

The mobile COVID-19 testing clinic is returning to Lachute.  It will be set up in the parking lot of the Kevin Lowe/Pierre Pagé Arena on Hamford Avenue on August 6 and 7.  No appointment is necessary.

Québec COVID-19 statistics

There were 59,845 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of August 4, which was an increase of 948 cases from 58,897 cases one week before on July 28.  The Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ) reported on August 3 that 50,886 cases of COVID-19 in Québec were resolved, which means that 85 per cent of the 59,845 cases were resolved and that there were 8,959 active cases across Québec.

On August 4, 169 COVID-19 patients were in hospital across Québec.  Out of the 169 in hospital, 21 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 5,685 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of August 4, which was an increase of 15 deaths during the past seven days.
