One dead in serious collision on County Road 17

A 73-year-old Ottawa man died in a two-vehicle collision which occurred on County Road 17 on July 31.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment were assisted by United Counties of Prescott-Russell Emergency Services and Champlain Township’s fire department responded to the scene.

The adult male driver Momtaz FRANCIS, aged 73, of Ottawa, (lone occupant) was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information that may assist investigators is asked to contact the Hawkesbury OPP at 613-632-2729.
