On Monday, June 15, there were 131 resolved cases of COVID-19, and 27 active cases within the jurisdiction of the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU).  There were 19 active cases among residents of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell and 92 resolved cases.  Among residents of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry (SD & G), there were three active cases and 24 resolved cases.  There were five active cases in the City of Cornwall and 15 resolved cases.

Within the EOHU territory on Monday, two COVID-19 patients were in hospital, and one patient was in intensive care.

The number of COVID-19 deaths within the jurisdiction of the EOHU remained at 11 on June 15.

Institutional outbreak

As of June 15, the only institutional outbreak of COVID-19 within the EOHU territory was at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Plantagenet.  The outbreak at the St-Viateur Nursing Home in Limoges is now over.

Testing

There are five testing and assessment centres throughout the EOHU`s jurisdiction.  As of June 15, 11,611 people had been tested for COVID-19 at the five centres, and by paramedics making home visits.

Across Ontario

Throughout Ontario as of Monday, June 15, there had been 32,370 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far.  On June 15, 84.1 per cent of the 32,370 cases were listed by the Ministry of Health as resolved.

There were 419 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Ontario on June 15, 104 patients were in intensive care, and 69 patients were on ventilators.

As of Monday, there had been 2,527 deaths due to COVID-19 across Ontario.
