Youth faces stunt driving charge for travelling at 55 km/h over the speed limit

The OPP stopped a speeding driver on a local road.

On Thursday, June 4, a member of the Hawkesbury OPP stopped a 17-year-old driver on County Road 10 in St-Eugène who was driving at 135 kilometres per hour in an 80 kilometres per hour zone.

The driver was charged with stunt driving, their licence was suspended, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Whatever fine the driver will pay will be set by the court.
