After four days of remaining at 15 confirmed cases of COVID-19, the number of cases in the MRC d’Argenteuil d’Argenteuil increased to 16 as of Monday, April 20.
There were 869 confirmed cases in total on Monday across the larger Laurentides administrative region.
Out of the 64 COVID-19 patients in hospital across the Laurentides region on Monday, 20 of them were in intensive care. The region has had 10 COVID-19 deaths.
The CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority is publishing a list of the number of cases in each municipality in the MRC d’Argenteuil, but it only includes a range of the probable and confirmed cases in each of those municipalities.

Outaouais and provincial situation
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the MRC de Papineau on April 20 increased to 26 from 25 on April 19. Papineau includes Montebello, St-André-Avellin, and Papineauville.
The larger Outaouais region that Papineau is part of recorded its first COVID-19 death on April 17. The CISSS de l’Outaouais regional health authority has not specified which municipality it occurred in.
On April 20, 170 of the Outaouais region’s 209 confirmed COVID-19 cases were in the city of Gatineau.
There were 19,319 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across Québec on April 20. Out of that total, 1,169 patients were in hospital and 198 of those were in intensive care. Across Québec, 939 people have died from COVID-19.
