Russell OPP ask for public’s help to identify person of interest

On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, shortly before 3:30 a.m., Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a theft complaint at a local gas station in Rockland, Ontario.

An unknown male attended the store and stole cigarettes with a total value of $120.

Assistance is being sought from the public in identifying the person of interest with the following description:

  • Caucasian
  • Between 177 cms (5’10”) and 185 cms (6’1″)
  • Early 20’s
  • Large build
  • Wearing a white and dark green t-shirt, dark pants with red side ligns, a black ball cap and white running shoes
  • Brown shoulder length hair

If you or anyone you know are aware of the male’s identity or have any further information about this incident, you are asked to contact the Russell County OPP at 613-446-5124 or OPP Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
