The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recovered approximately $150,000 worth of equipment stolen in the Hawkesbury area.

On March 23, 2020 a large flatbed truck and piece of heavy equipment, a Bobcat skid-steer tractor, were reported stolen from a construction company’s facility on Front Road in Champlain Township.

The investigation by members of Hawkesbury Detachment and the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, with assistance of the MRC des Collines Police, resulted in the execution of a search warrant later the same day and the recovery of the stolen property in Val Des Monts, Quebec.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
