The Plantagenet Bean Festival has announced its programming for the 2020 event which will take place from September 18 to 20 at Plantagenet Catholic High School.

This year, the festival is proud to welcome the most challenging strength competition in the world, Fortissimus. The winner will win the title of The Strongest Man on Earth as well as the prestigious bronze trophy of Louis Cyr. The competition will consist of 10 events, all paying tribute to the greatest strong man in history, Louis Cyr.

Québec artist Marc Dupré will be on the main stage on Friday evening. Dupré is a very well-known and recognized artist among the Canadian Francophone community. He is currently one of the judges on La Voix (the Québec version of The Voice) that airs on TVA every Sunday night.

The Plantagenet Bean Festival’s mission is to organize an event that will be both entertaining and will promote culinary tourism in the community, thus stimulating the regional economy. The festival’s vision is to bring family and friends together to celebrate traditional baked bean recipes.
