The Vankleek Hill Junior C Cougars scored 21 goals in three games last week to augment their lead at the top of the NCJHL East Division, now leading their closest rivals by 10 points.  With less than two weeks before the playoffs start, the Cougars Jr C team has 22 victories for a total of 44 points. The local boys won 8-3 over the North Dundas Rockets on January 26, dominated the Clarence Creek Castors 7-1 on Wednesday Jan 29 and defeated the Gatineau-Hull Volant 6-4 on Saturday evening.
