The Champlain Library is challenging its patrons to read 20 books in 2020. The library is suggesting a different topic each month to provide some ideas of what books to read.  January’s theme is winter wonderland.  “Why not read a book set in a truly wonderful place – somewhere you’ve always thought was beautiful, somewhere with a wonderfully rich culture, a snowy setting, or maybe even a magical realm.”

The benefits of reading include reducing stress, improving memory, focus and concentration, and improving writing and communication skills.  Reading a book also provides free entertainment and information.

So, as you continue to set goals for the New Year, why not consider reading 20 books in 2020?.  You’ll be surprised at where reading will take you.  For more information on what services and programs the Champlain Library offers, visit www.bc-cl.ca or call 613-678-2216.
