The Hawkesbury’s JR A hockey team is on a roll since mid-December: eight wins in-a-row. On Friday night, the local team defeated Navan’s Grads 3-1 and on Sunday, the Hawks moved to the second place in the CCHL1 Yzerman Division after crushing the Pembroke’s Lumber King 4-0. Hawk’s goalie #30 Mathieu Chenier celebrated his first shutout game with the Hawkesbury’s Hawks. The next home game for Richard Dorval’s players will be on Friday, January 10 at Hawkesbury’s Robert Hartley Complex as the Kemptville 73s’ will visit. (Text and pictures by S.Lauwers)
