The Vankleek Hill Sports Club (VKHSC) celebrated its inaugural year this past weekend with an Extravaganza at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre. Members and their families were invited to participate in numerous activities including bouncy castles, a dance, face-painting/balloon animals, crafts and more!
The VKHSC will kick off its second year with a dodgeball tournament in mid-September followed by the fall semester of Phys Ed 101, wherein participants will have the opportunity to try out 2 to 3 different sports. Phys Ed 101 will take place one night a week at Pleasant Corners Public School with the fall semester running from October to December and the winter semester running January to March.
Beginning next April the club will offer Lacrosse, Ball Hockey, Soccer and T-Ball/Baseball for the spring and summer months. Don’t forget about the dances! The VKHSC hosted 4 youth dances this past year! Lots to be excited about in the VKHSC.
Be sure to follow them on Facebook (facebook.com/vkhsc) to stay up to date on all activities and registration details. You can also check out the website at www.vkhsc.ca or email them at [email protected]. Registration info and more program details will be available at the beginning of September.
