MRC d’Argenteuil gives and receives grants

Money is coming in, and money is going out at the Municipalité régional du Comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil.

At the May 8 meeting, council was informed the MRC is receiving $112,500 this year from the Ministère des Transports du Québec’s adaptive transport fund for providing accessible transit.

The Ministère de la Sécurité publique is providing $15,886 to the MRC for firefighter training in its member municipalities.

MRC council also approved granting funds to two local organizations.

The Halte-camping Les Chutes des Sept-Sœurs, located by Rivière Rouge in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is receiving $18,000 towards infrastructure and equipment improvements at the facility.

The Chambre de commerce et d’industrie d’Argenteuil, which is the chamber of commerce for businesses and industries throughout the MRC territory, is receiving a yearly grant of $10,000 from the MRC for 2019.
