Police respond to disturbance; man sent to hospital in critical condition

On Thursday May 2, 2019 at approximately 1:10 a.m., members of the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a male causing a disturbance at a residential apartment in Hawkesbury, Ontario.

Shortly after officers and Prescott-Russell Paramedics arrived, the 31 year-old male went into medical distress. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and was transferred to a hospital in Ottawa.

The OPP has notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which is monitoring the situation.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available and deemed appropriate for release.
