Do you live in Grenville? If you do, you could become its next mayor or councillor

The process has started to select a new mayor and councillor in the Village of Grenville.

Former Mayor Luc Grondin died in November 2018 and Councillor Pierre Thauvette became Acting Mayor.

According to Director-General and Returning Officer Alain Léveillé, Thauvette resigned his seat so it could be filled if he decides to run for mayor, leading to two vacancies on council.

Nomination forms are available from the village office at 21 rue Tri-Jean and will be accepted until 1 pm until Friday, March 8.

If more than one nomination for each position is filed, a special election will be held on April 7.  The advance poll will take place on March 31.

Both the advance poll, and election day poll will be located at the Grenville Community Centre.
