Boisés Est and Barnyard Studio (le Studio du Coin) are proud to launch their “Photo Tribute to our Forest Heritage / Hommage photo à notre patrimoine forestier”, a joint project designed to illustrate the precious and unique value of our region’s trees and forests.

Prescott-Russell residents and people from surrounding areas are invited to suggest trees and forested sites that they consider remarkable. From the information received, the partners will select scenes to be photographed by Barnyard Studio’s professional photographers.

Some of the pictures will be featured in a special 2020 calendar on the Trees & Forests theme.

The complete selection covering all four seasons will be posted on the partners’ Facebook pages and websites. A preview will be offered at the Wood & Forest Exhibition, to be held on September 8, 2019 in Riceville, with the calendar officially released on that occasion.

The photographs will also be displayed in an exhibition organized during National Forest Week (23-29 September), and more specifically Boisés Est’s Soirée de l’Arbre, on Wednesday 25 September (National Tree Day).

To submit an entry to the project (remarkable tree or forest scene), all you need is contact Lynne at [email protected] or 613-857-6539. The calendar will acknowledge all participants.
