Following the success of its 2017-2018 productions, which featured multiple ‘sold out’ shows, the emergence of two local authors whose plays became huge hits, the registration of news members, news sponsors and a new audience, La troupe de théâtre Le Cercle Gascon II is announcing its 2018-2019 season.
The fall production is the reprise of a comedy which the group first performed in 2001-2002 and afterwards in France as part as an amateur theatre festival; UN SOFA DANS LE PARC features four of the original five comedians and will be presented on three consecutive weekends in late October.
The winter production will again this year be a musical revue dedicated to the music of the sixties and based of the format of the TV show THE VOICE, but in its version for ‘seniors’! LA VOIX SENIOR will be La troupe’s annual fundraising effort; it will be presented in a cafe-bistro setting in early February.
Finally, the spring production will be another comedy, LE PRÉNOM. It has been a huge success in France since i’s creation in 2008, and then toured French Canada at the Montreal’s Festival juste pour rire! and was featured at many summer theatres throughout Quebec.
LA TROUPE DE THÉÂTRE LE CERCLE GASCON II is the only francophone permanent theatre group in the counties, now in its 36th year, offering quality theatre experiences to the public of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec; it is comprised exclusively of amateurs and volunteers; it is a non profit organization which redirect and reinvests all its revenues in future productions.

Nous recherchons 4 candidats, 2 hommes et 2 femmes, préférablement âgés de 60 ans +, excellents chanteurs et chanteuses et qui démontrent également un certain potentiel à jouer la comédie. Les candidats/candidates devront chanter par cœur (sans texte) et a cappella (sans accompagnement musical) une chanson en français et une chanson en anglais, préférablement choisie parmi le répertoire des années 1960.
