The community is getting ready to have some fun raising funds in Limoges.  Sunday, August 26 is Boboul Family Day.  From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., music, food, and family-friendly activities will be happening in the parking lot of Boboul Restaurant and in the field next door to it.  The fun day is a fundraiser for the projects of the Limoges Citizen’s Committee.

A DJ will be spinning tunes, and local bands The Urban Misfits and Sweet Gang Joe’s are going to play.  Bouncy castles, carnival games, face painting, and cotton candy will be offered up, along with a variety of food.  There will be vendor booths and draws for prizes too.  One of the prizes is a new bicycle worth $300, donated by the Limoges Firefighter’s Association.

Another big part of the event is the three-kilometre Colour Run, being presented by the Centre de santé communautaire de l’Estrie (CSCE).  For anyone wanting to get some exercise for a good cause and get covered in colours while doing it, go to https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/billets-course-3-km-en-couleur-a-limoges-3km-color-run-in-limoges-ontario-47963478054 to register.  There is a fee of $15 per participant.

Véronique Fortier, one of the organizers of Boboul Family Day, said the Limoges Citizen’s Committee has several projects it is working on and wants to use the money raised at the event to go towards them.  The projects include a dog park, community garden, a new skating rink, and new playground equipment in parks.  Each vendor participating in the family day was asked to donate to participate and the cost of admission to Boboul Family Day in Limoges is $5 per person, which makes it a low-cost way to have some fun and support the community.

Many local businesses, The Nation municipality, and Russell Township are the sponsors of Boboul Family Day.
