From a watercraft ride to a 70’s show to an escape game and a 12-foot dinosaur, there are many events happening in Hawkesbury this summer!

Canada Day

The Town of Hawkesbury is once again offering its own version of Canada Day! On Sunday, July 1, 2018, festival-goers will get together at Confederation Park from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. to be entertained while taking part in a variety of activities!

The amount of activities offered to families from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. continues to grow! You will find the fire department’s famous water games, multiple inflatable games for the kids, a man-made pond with mini pedal-boats for the little ones and a foam pit for those who like to let loose just a little bit more. New this year is a game wall and giant games, by Spin! Jeux & Activations, games such as a full-sized battleship, volley-pong, a board game zone and an escape game for the family!

The magician Jacques le Pétard and his dinosaur will be at Confederation Park for a 45-minute show, as of 4 p.m. The children’s entertainment specialist will be accompanied by his friends Tartine the Strawberry, Creton the Dog, Nacho the Bird and other puppet friends. Come and meet the Pétard-Zaurus who will be on site to entertain both young and old.

To celebrate Canada, Boogie Wonder Band will revive the frenzied disco years. They will make you dance to all of disco’s greatest hits in one night! Feel the power of the music of the 70’s for two full hours, starting at 7 p.m.

Ottawa River Festival

The Town of Hawkesbury is kicking off the summer season on the Ottawa River with the 7th edition of the Ottawa River Festival. Water sports enthusiasts are invited to join us at Confederation Park on June 30, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Come and try various water sports with friends and family during the grand opening of Hawkesbury’s new water equipment rental centre ‘’O’Shack. You can rent single or double kayaks, pedal-boats, and stand up paddle boards all summer Thursday and Friday evenings as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings and evenings. You’d like to try it out first? Be at at Confederation Park on June 30 to try for free, thanks to a partnership with CSurf Board Shop and Quais Multi-Kit. Field Day

The community committee composed of the Town of Hawkesbury, Valoris CTC and Groupe Action Hawkesbury Family Centre invites families on Friday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Old Mill Park for Field Day. The Hawkesbury parks councillors get together for a day to entertain everyone. It’s the perfect opportunity to have fun with the family, take advantage of a variety of activities and above all, to enjoy a great barbecue lunch. Activities include inflatable games, tug-of-war, water games by the Hawkesbury fire department, face painting and giant games. Lunch will be served to children who have filled out their activities passport. Plus, the first 200 children present will receive a reusable water bottle. Please note that in case of rain, the event will take place at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex. Don’t forget your sunscreen and bathing suit!
