Grenville’s Ball Park was invaded by a horde of friendly, muscular pooches last Saturday, June 2nd.

The American Bully is a recently-created breed of companion dogs, originally recognized by the American Bully Kennel Club. Bred as a combination of American Staffordshire Terriers and American Pitbull Terriers with several bulldog breeds. Despite their misleading name, these dogs have a soft and friendly temperament.

Mathieu Quann, organizer of this second annual American Bully dog show, has been raising this breed for 7 years.

“While a pitbull might bite you, an American Bully will lick you to death!” he enthuses.

Fifty dogs were registered for the show, as well as more than 150 human participants. Expert judges traveled from California to evaluate the quality of the dogs’ performances.
