L’Orignal synchronized skater Grace LeTouzel is headed to Croatia for the World Synchronized Skating Championships, taking place on March 16 and 17, 2018.
LeTouzel skates with Les Suprêmes, which won for the fifth consecutive time at the Canadian National Synchronized Skating Championship, which took place in Oshawa last weekend (February 23 through 25).
In a newsletter written by LeTouzel, she writes, “We are feeling great about our short and free programs, and continue to fine-tune both for the world stage. We have improved our programs since our bronze medal win in Austria in late January, and carried that momentum into the Canadian Championships this past weekend which was held in Oshawa Ontario. Having Canadians so close to home is special for us, lots of family and friends make the trip. We skated with lots of confidence this past weekend, and put down two solid skates that demonstrated why we are Team Canada 1 going into the worlds. Nexxice also skated very well and won the silver this weekend and they are excited to be going to worlds with us representing Canada as Team #2. This year, winning “Canadians” was very special for myself and for four of my team-mates who have been with me since I joined Les Suprêmes.”
“When I started five years ago, in Novice, I dreamed of simply winning a title, now five years later I have five, and winning the fifth was as exciting as the first.”
