The Prescott and Russell Entrepreneurship Centre (PREC) presented eight entrepreneurs with $5,000 each as part of the entrepreneurship centre’s Starter Company Plus program.

Through the Starter Company Plus program, these entrepreneurs received one-on-one guidance from the entrepreneurship centre’s mentors and Project Officer. They have participated in business workshops, seminars and been part of networking events with topics ranging from writing a business plan to marketing and social media campaigns, to budgeting and making their elevator pitch.

The eight entrepreneurs who received $5,000 each are:
Josiane Guindon – MansioCare – Rockland
Lucille Groulx – The King’s Domain – Wendover
Rae-Anne St.Pierre – Vankleek Hill Dental Hygiene Clinic – Vankleek Hill
Audrey Lizotte et Mireille Leroux – l’Artisan Farm – Fournier
David Gratton – Miels du Boisé/Oh Miel! – Alfred
Myriam Legault – Pastel & Panache – Rockland
Dara Barton – The Daily Dose – Vankleek Hill
Véronique Ouellette et Laurence d’Entremont Gagnon – CONCĒLĀRE – Wendover

“Not only will these entrepreneurs receive sound advice from experts in their respective fields, but they also presented in front of a “Dragon’s Den” style board in order to obtain the $5,000 grant. This financial assistance will help with several expenses, including equipment purchases, inventory purchases, marketing expenses, registration and training fees and miscellaneous entrepreneurial expenses”, says Benoit Brunette, the PREC Project Officer.

The Prescott and Russell Entrepreneurship Centre is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help small business entrepreneurs succeed in Prescott and Russell by providing information, tools and support during their start-up and growth phases.
