The Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) will begin work on Highway 34 on July 13, with completion expected by October 2, 2026.
According to a social media reminder issued by Champlain Township on Tuesday, July 7, work will take place between Highway 417 and the south town limits of Vankleek Hill and between Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute and north of the County Road 17 overpass.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane for most of the project. Temporary full road closures with signed detours will also be required at certain times.
