Julie Gathelier and Bernard Houde rang in the New Year with the delivery of a baby daughter. The Lachute residents welcomed their little girl on January 1 at 12:18 a.m.

The baby was born at the CSSS Regional Hospital in Saint-Jérome and she has been named as the first baby of the year to be born in the Laurentians. Upon delivery, Lachute’s newest young resident weighed 3,400 grams and measured 53 centimetres.
