“The Addled Left”
I remember the time and I remember it well
It bothers me yet but I just have to tell
It was a time when everyone said what they thought
It was also a time when great wars were fought
Then along came the lefties to make a big change
They fussed and they fumed and acted quite strange
They preached and postured and seemed so appalled
That some of us Tories wouldn’t listen at all
They ranted and raved that the world would soon end
They plotted and pleaded and did often offend
Political correctness was a religion to them
And they met in large numbers to yell and condemn
But we are still here and going nowhere
We’re not buying in and we’re damn hard to scare
The guilt trips won’t work on those on the right
We are sick of such nonsense and ready to fight
