While executing a search warrant in Embrun, the police recovered construction tools they believe were stolen from the Ottawa area. Police from the Russell County detachment are now hoping to find the people who labelled their tools with “Jane S” and “Dave B.” If you are that person, police say you can get in touch with investigating officer Tammy Barnes with the Russell County OPP Embrun Detachment at 613 443 4499. In a press release about the case, police said recording the serial numbers of your tools, adding your name and number to them, and keeping your tools in a secure and well-lit area are good ways to help reduce the risk of theft.
