Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s help to determine what happened in the moment’s leading up to a fatal collision on September 25, that left one man dead.

At approximately 2:40 a.m., on September 25, police say that a wreck was discovered near mile marker 62, in the westbound lane of Highway 417. The crash happened between the Casselman exit and the exit for Highway 138. The car was pointed in the wrong direction on the highway and police say that it had rolled at least once.

The driver, 24-year-old Collin Brisson of Greely, had been ejected from his 2014 Jeep Patriot and was lying a short distance away.

Brisson was transported to the Ottawa General Hospital, where he later died.

The collision is still under investigation and OPP Constable Cynthia Savard said that police are looking for witnesses who might have seen what transpired in the moments leading up to the crash.

Savard said that an autopsy will determine if drugs or alcohol were elements in this crash.
