On Saturday, September 10, firefighters from Hawkesbury, Vankleek Hill, The Nation, Maxville, Alfred-Plantagenet, South Glengarry and Embrun gathered at Confederation Park for the “firefighter Olympics.” The Hawkesbury firefighters won the relay, finishing in 1.16 minutes, and Maxville, behind by about half of a second, came in second.
