Wilson, Murray

Peacefully at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Murray was the son of the late Lyle and Wanda Wilson (nee Holmes), born on the family farm west of Riceville. Beloved husband of Pat Wilson of 57 years. Loving father of Gordon (Inge). Dear grandfather of Adam (Jillian). Erika (Kyle), Sarah (Ryan), Kyle (Jasmin) and Alex (Michaela) and great grandfather of Haleigh and soon to Sarah and Ryan’s new son. He was a cherished brother of Annie (late George Proudfoot). Predeceased by his daughter Sandra, his sisters Brenda (Stanley Vogan), Cleta (Lorne Reid) and Marjorie (John MacLean). Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898). Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Franklin Corners Cemetery in Riceville (bring a lawn chair), beginning with the Masonic rites at 10:45 a.m., immediately followed by a graveside service. Afterwards, everyone is invited to join the family at a reception under the tent at Riceville Fairgrounds. An expression of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Franklin Corners Cemetery, to the Plantagenet Lodge 186 or to the Riceville Agricultural Society would be appreciated by the family.
