It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kenneth Westgate announce his passing on February 12, 2026, at the age of 68. Ken will be lovingly missed by his best friend and soul mate, Kim MacTavish. Predeceased by his parents, Wilson and Jean (MacLachlan) Westgate, as well as his brother John and his wife Valerie (Dieno). He will be fondly remembered by his brothers Roy, Russell (Evelyn MacMaster), Ron (Audrey MacGillivray), and by his sister Lois (Sheldon Box). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, dear friends and extended family. Ken was known for his dry wit, always delivered with a warm smile and a twinkle in his eye. He will be remembered for his passion and dedication to his work as an AI technician at EastGen, where he devoted 43 years of service before retiring last year. Visitation to celebrate Ken’s Life will take place on March 7, 2026 from 2-4 pm at the Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds Hall, 92 Main Street West, Vankleek Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A private burial will take place at a later date.
